In Hawaiʻi, hapa refers to someone of mixed heritage - a blend of cultures, stories, and influences. For Jade, it reflects the way she moves through the world and the way she creates: by honoring the different parts of her identity and the many elements that shape life in Hawai‘i. She was born and raised on the island of O‘ahu, where she draws her inspiration and creats art to celebrates just that - where colors, traditions, and experiences meet to form something fresh, and yet deeply familiar.

Today, her work is inspired by the island lifestyle she grew up with - the ocean, the flavors, the culture, and the everyday beauty of local life. Through rich, vibrant colors and a Hawai‘i pop-art style, Jade brings her cross-cultural perspective to subjects rooted in the islands she loves. Every year, she chooses a series to study and focus on including native birds and flowers. Her art can be found on walls, as well as apparel and different merchandise in small batches for all to enjoy in different ways.
